LUKSO announces the BUILD UP! #1 hackathon in Partnership with Gitcoin.

Today we all woke up to the news (well at least I did here on the East Coast of the US) that the LUKSO Network in Collaboration with Gitcoin was announcing their latest hackathon: BUILD UP! #1.

The LUKSO Network is giving away $500K USD denominated in $LYXe, the ERC-20 equivalent of the $LYX token. If you believe in this ecosystem, like I do, then this hackathon is an opportunity to reap rewards that will be very valuable in the future.

LUKSO’s first hackathon, Hack Your Profiles, was centered around Proof of Concept dApps showcasing Universal Profiles on L15, but in reality the BUILD UP! #1 is the first true hackathon to feature the new suite of standards (LSP’s) as developed by the standards team at LUKSO.

Categories for the Build UP! #1 Hackathon include: Universal Profile Tooling, Social Applications and DAOs, F.A.M.E (Fashion, Art, Music and Entertainment) applications, and Multiverse and Gaming.

There is also a “Blue Sky” category that leaves the development direction completely up to the participating teams.
